1. Sitz Baths: Our sitz baths are formulated to heal & soothe your perineum post-birth. We steep customized herbs with high quality Epsom salts to develop a rich color. We then thoroughly sanitize your bathtub and prepare the bath. We can grab you a drink and snack to enjoy while you soak.

2. Floral Bath (Mandi Bunga): The Malay style floral bath known as “Mandi-Bunga” consists of an arrangement of colorful & vibrant FRESH flowers floating over an herbal bath soak that serves as both a physical and spiritual practice; to invite blessings and goodness into your life. We use the Birth Matron herbal bath blend, this specific blend is known to help take out unwanted postpartum smells, increase circulation, and soothe the perineum. 

3. Perineum/Vaginal Steaming: Perineum steaming also known as vaginal, womb, or yoni steaming is a traditional practice of bringing warmth and herbal infused steam to the womb- clearing stagnation, old blood, birth matter, and promoting circulation & healing to the vaginal area. It also supports common postpartum woes such as vaginal tears, hemhorroids, pelvic floor dysfunction, vaginal dryness, UTI, and so much more! We custom blend herbs for your peri-steam and arrange you comfortably on our natural handmade wooden stool. Nursing and snacking is convenient on the steam stool!

4. Touch Therapy/Bodywork: Full body rub with our herbal oil (customized to your needs). With special attention to the womb, chest, neck, shoulders, back, and legs- we will use healing touch techniques to promote circulation, support digestion, relieve muscles, tension, and drain lymph. Fully relax into our heated therapy table and enjoy the grounding herbal aromas.

5. Hip Closing: Closing of the bones or “Cerrada” is the traditional Mexican ritual of tying the body with rebozo scarves after birth. This helps to “close up” the mother in a physical, emotional, and spiritual way. Before & after the tying of the scarves, we use the rebozo to sift & massage the body to release tension and support mobility.

6. Belly-binding: Bengkung belly binding (must purchase bind separately). There are 4 steps to the binding process, healing touch to warm up the muscles and release tension to the back and abdomen, application of heat with our extra large weighted compress, herbal binding butter application, and finally the wrapping of the cloth.

7. Herbal Body Scrub: From the neck down, this Malay ceremonial herbal scrub from Birth Matron is used to gently exfoliate & revitalize the skin. A traditional practice that has a physical & emotional purpose; to signify the scrubbing away of negative energy, woes, and challenges. Combines well with the floral bath & a warm compress, a great way to celebrate the end of your 40 days!

8. Thai Herbal Compress: Applied to shoulders, back, abdomen, and legs. The Thai herbal compress delivers freshly steamed herbs deep into the tissues and muscles of the body. During postpartum this therapy supports the shrinkage & tightening of the uterus, addresses digestion, heats up and warms the body to speed healing, and reduces inflammation in the joints.

9. Hot Stones: Full body healing touch therapy using warm jade stones and herbal oil. This is especially beneficial for sore and engorged breasts due to lactating, as well as delivering heat deeper into the womb and muscles of the body.

10. Herbal Hot Stones: For the back and abdomen, this homemade hot herbal stone compress consists of 12 warming spices that supports digestion & healing, decreases inflammation, addresses trapped air & gas, and deeply warms the body.

Womb Cupping: Supports uterine involution-May help the uterus contract and return to its pre-pregnancy size, Improves circulation-Increased local blood flow is believed to aid tissue healing, Relieves postpartum discomfort, reduced cramping, bloating, or pelvic heaviness, Aids lochia flow-to help the body clear postpartum discharge more efficiently, Reduces abdominal stagnation- moves “stuck” energy or blood.

13. Gua Shua: Gua shua can help move stagnation, lymph, and tension. The face, neck, shoulders, and chest are the best places to address with the natural stone.

14. Hair/Scalp Oiling: Promotes hair growth, reduces hair fall, and nourishes the scalp and hair follicle. We start with stimulating the scalp, releasing tension, and then apply the potent herbal oil to the entire scalp. Leave in overnight and shampoo the next day for best results.

15. Baby Touch Therapy: A 15 minute massage routine to soothe baby, supporting digestion, warmth, relaxation, and sleep

16. Herbal Detox Foot Bath: Drawing out toxins and impurities from the feet, this foot bath is warming and deeply soothing.

17. Dry Heat Compress: Our extra large weighted hot compresses are wonderful when combined with touch therapy. Compress can be applied to the back, abdomen, and neck.

18. Foot Scrub & Butter: Our house made foot scrub exfoliates and hydrates dry and brittle feet. We clean the scrub off thoroughly before applying a thick foot butter and socks. The next day, your feet will feel like your newborn baby’s!

19. Castor Oil Pack: Castor oil is famous for its long list of benefits such as dissolving impurities, drawing out unwanted toxins, breaking up scar tissue, and improving digestion. Castor oil pack application begins with touch therapy to the abdomen, then a layering of cotton wool flannel, and finally we place a heating pad over top to let the benefits of the oil penetrate deep into the womb. This is especially beneficial for C-Section scars!

Bengkung Belly Binding

Bengkung belly binding is a traditional postpartum practice that originated in Malaysia and has been used for generations to support a mother’s body during the healing process after childbirth. The method uses a modern bengkung belly bind that is easy more convenient for daily wear and is easy and fast to put on and take off.

After pregnancy and delivery, the body goes through significant physical changes as the uterus shrinks, organs shift back into place, and abdominal muscles begin to recover. Bengkung binding helps stabilize the midsection during this transition, offering comfort and support while the body gradually restores strength and balance.
